Ladies and Gentlemen,
I want to tell you about Carolyn Randell -- a delightful West Virginia lady who is mama to people, puppies and West Virginia Soapcrafters. She lives and creates in Berkeley Springs, the site of the South's first spa. Carolyn gets the water for her soaps right from the same spring which once served as the source for a 16-year-old George Washington's bath.
She names her natural soaps with funky, West Virginia-inspired names, then puts little crunchy sayings or history on the wrapper. The packaging on the "Mountain Man" soaps used to have a surly Confederate re-enactor on them -- I once ordered a whole slew of them to give to the members of Night Train.
She uses pure plant and flower oils in the soap-making process -- ensuring a healthy, creamy, nourishing lather that rinses completely clean. Plus, they smell sooooo good! Don't use harsh commericial soaps on your sweet self! For you sensitive types, try the fragrance-free "Simply Soap".
Give Carolyn a holler at mountainmama@westvirginiasoapcrafters.com or 304-270-0691.
