"And this too, shall pass." My grandfather used to quote this Biblical phrase to teach me that all things, good and bad, come to an end. My days at the helm of Southern Fried Magazine are over...
In the meantime, I wanted to give some props to some of my friends made during my editorial reign:

http://www.bonniescreations.com/ Bonnie Utterback is the wife of WORLD FAMOUS GUITARIST Kenny Utterback (Pacific Gas & Electric, with its Jesus Rock era hit, Are You Ready?). Her site has all kinds of glorious products for you and your house. See the pics above.

Speaking of WORLD FAMOUS, you can't leave out drummer Gary Allen (original drummer - CDB, J.J. Cale). He is currently seeking a recording/touring band...if this sounds like your crew, contact him at Gary@tennesseeconcerts.com. You can read further and see even more pics at http://www.tennesseeconcerts.com/.

Another person who needs to be thanked for posterity is Dr. Clinton Bellamy -- the Renaissance man of eastern Tennessee. Physician, lawyer and natural food producer, Dr. Bellamy does it all...beautifully. Check out his handmade hot sauces, natural fruit butters and all kinds of goodies at http://www.datilsupreme.com/ I met him at the Grainger County (Tennessee) Tomato Fest...he and his family are Good People!
I have a new home for my articles and adventures -- you can read about it here when it's time for my official debut! As my friends The Ozark Mt. Daredevils say, "It'll Shine When It Shines".

Tonight, I was one of a lucky several thousand to be able to see the Rowdy Frynds tour in Baltimore at the First Mariner Arena... .38 Special, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Hank Williams, Jr. all in one show!
But I was a lucky ONE to be able to meet with Michael Cartellone before the concert. He was very cute in his athletic gear; this is someone who gives his all, every single time.
By the way, this is me just before the show... notice the cowboy boots!
May 1 -- midnight on Monday night -- is the kickoff for the new issue of Southern Fried. I've got a lot of work to finish on it this weekend, but I think you'll agree it's worth it!
Love and kisses,
Tamar

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I want to tell you about Carolyn Randell -- a delightful West Virginia lady who is mama to people, puppies and West Virginia Soapcrafters. She lives and creates in Berkeley Springs, the site of the South's first spa. Carolyn gets the water for her soaps right from the same spring which once served as the source for a 16-year-old George Washington's bath.
She names her natural soaps with funky, West Virginia-inspired names, then puts little crunchy sayings or history on the wrapper. The packaging on the "Mountain Man" soaps used to have a surly Confederate re-enactor on them -- I once ordered a whole slew of them to give to the members of Night Train.
She uses pure plant and flower oils in the soap-making process -- ensuring a healthy, creamy, nourishing lather that rinses completely clean. Plus, they smell sooooo good! Don't use harsh commericial soaps on your sweet self! For you sensitive types, try the fragrance-free "Simply Soap".
Give Carolyn a holler at mountainmama@westvirginiasoapcrafters.com or 304-270-0691.

Spammers/Hackers took over and hijacked us today! Everything is cleaned up now, thanks to Bruce and hours of work. We may be in eggnog color for a bit, just until everything is double-checked.

I swear to God, if I ever come across one of the gutterscum from that server in a dark alley over here -- my squelched-for-public-consumption hot temper will be unleashed in its entirety. Promise. I have a whole slew of relatives and ex's who'll confirm that it won't be pretty.

Then, when we're all wiping our bloody noses and you are recovering from my Tod's stiletto boot heel in your crotch, then we will play in my sandbox -- the nearest Circuit Court.

Hey, spammers -- Me vs. You in person. Bring it on.

In the throws of listening to demo CD's, learning layout (have you noticed the change of the look of Southern Fried ?) writing, chasing after writers, editing, publicity and all kinds of new projects, I have been run ragged.

Many of you busy folks are run ragged, too -- whether it's work, home, concerts, traveling...or life in general.

I promised to institute a series of "spa days" into my life, which I swear I'm gonna do. Yeah, that's me not answering the phone! So, put on some green face mask and join me. There is only one you.

There are times when all of us are forced to be social animals... and smile. It might be at work, it might be at a photo shoot or on stage. How's your smile looking? Friends, my smile looks good, thanks to the great folks at Go Smile -- I am set.
Their company, founded by cosmetic dentist to the stars Jonathan B. Levine, makes products that are not just convenient -- but actually chic to use. They've got the fancy whitening toothpastes: "Zen" is for sensitive teeth and their "pm" toothpaste (you do use separate toothpaste for am and pm, non?) contains valerian, which oughta help when it's Sleepytime Down South.
Go Smile also pioneered the easy delivery system of its whiteners, which can fit almost anywhere. They suggest that you could even keep one in your "tightest jeans", but due to the glass tube, I'd probably skip that. They even come in flavors now, including a very southern peach flavor.
Their whiteners are safe enough to use, even if you've had "work done". Not only can you buy them online, but they're also at all the "good" department stores.
So check them out and I want to see your smile come Spring!
